It's very (even in the most extreme cases), to find a doctors who sincerely cares about your well being. I can't think ofasingle time in past years that has treated me the way Dr. Rehman does.
Because of things I am facing in my life, at the moment, I've had to endure quite a lot. Dr. Rehman has actually called, even texted me to see how I was doing and showed sincere concern.
Can't think of anyone better to have on my team. I am lucky to have found him when I did.
I had a long history of chemical dependence which started as a recreation in my teenage years and worsened as I got older. I had multiple inpatient detoxifications, remissions and relapses and just felt like an absolute failure.
With my addiction I’ve never been able to achieve my educational goals and always had to survive on odd jobs though my family is very supportive. I suffered from an extremely low self-esteem and mentally accepted to live the life of an addict for good. I lost my trust with my family, friends, girlfriend and employers. I could never hold a job steadily.
My mother worked with Dr. Rehman in the hospital and one day my parents brought me to his office to seek help.
At that point I was quite hopeless, ashamed and avoided eye contact with the doctor thinking that he wouldn’t want to treat someone like me.
I was extremely impressed with his polite and respectable behavior towards me.
He prescribed a medicine that helped me to detox smoothly without being admitted to a hospital.
He answered all of my family questions and concerns. After detoxification, he designed a treatment plan for my long term sobriety. This treatment took away my cravings, anxiety and other mood and physical symptoms and helped me stay calm and focused all day and sleep restfully at night.
Now I had no reason left to self medicate myself. Now I am enjoying a healthy state of mind, completed my degree and now work as a successful substance abuse counselor.I earned back trust with my family and friends and they feel proud of me. I am also quite optimistic and look forward to explore an exciting courier.
Being a student, it always took me more time to learn and finish my tasks as compared with my classmates. I, therefore had to miss sporting and extracurricular activities in order to catch up with my study which I could never get the kind of grades according to the time and effort I put in.
I was referred to Dr. Amir Rehman by an aunt who is also a patient of his.
Dr. Rehman did a comprehensive assessment, counseled me for some study techniques, slight diet modification and recommended medication to treat adult Attention Deficit Disorder. I followed his directions to the T, and it definitely brought a change in my study patterns and focus that I desperately needed. My grades have improved, I feel happier and more confident. Now I am able to enjoy my weekends and other health and social activities that I’ve been missing out on.
I am a professional and have a high pressure job with many responsibilities and have to work extended number of hours.Due to this ongoing stress which as a life style, I suffered from anxiety, insomnia, moodiness, lack of motivation, fatigue and all-over body aches.
I have not been able to provide quality time to my family for several years besides my own health sufferings and continued declining performance at work.
After a suggestion by my PCP and because of my line of work, I was extremely reluctant to see a doctor for this problem as in past I had "cookie cutter" treatment experience.
I learned about Dr. Amir Rehman while searching a psychiatrist on-line.
During consultation I found him very thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He not only asked me about my psychiatric history but also took detailed medical history and told me that sometimes medical issues can lead to or worsen unknown or existing psychiatric problems and vice a versa.
At the end, he prescribed medicine to take at bed time. After a few days of taking the medicine I noticed that my sleep architecture improved and am not suffering as much from anxiety and moodiness all day long.
My motivation level is high and feel much confident to deal with my coworkers and clients.
I am happy and satisfied because of his customized approach to treat me.
My son “Patrick”, had severe issues with distractibility, a very short attention span and sometimes outright abrupt, disruptive behavior in the classroom.
After several interactions with his school counselor and his teacher, the school recommended we take him to see a psychiatrist for ADHD evaluation.
Through a family friend, we heard about Dr. Rehman and his abilities in the treatment of children with ADHD so we consulted with him.
After his assessment, he suggested we make minor nutritional changes and provided us techniques to organize study/work and how to redirect Patrick once distracted.
He prescribed medicine for Patrick to take every morning before going to school.
Dr. Rehman educated us about ADHD, explained to us the available treatment options and helped to choose an appropriate for Patrick. He also explained all the possible side effects, how to manage them and answered our questions and concerns. I also liked his office because they always respond promptly.
During treatment, my son had great improvement in his ability to focus, organize his school projects resulting in improvement of his school grades and associated behavior problems. His teachers and counselor have commented on his progress and I am greatly pleased with the services his office provided.
During this process, I developed insight about my own issues related to studying, focus and organization that I have suffered in my own educational years and my recent day to day problems with my forgetfulness and lack of concentration. I barley escaped some accidents due to that problem.
After careful thinking I decided to again consult Dr. Rehman to asses me. During my initial assessment, he asked me if I am taking any nutritional supplements or herbal medicines. I told him about what I was taking. I was impressed with his knowledge of these supplements and he told me their possible interactions and provided me with the needed feedback.
The medication he prescribed for me resulted in tremendous improvement of my concentration, mood and anxiety problems and gradually over a few weeks I noticed a substantial improvement in my ability to perform at my job.
I got my first raise in three years and have since taken training for a supervisory position.
Now besides my work, I am performing better at home too and participate in the educational as well as recreational activities with my children and am enjoying life in a more profound way.
